David Baker and Ken Williams laid a wreath at the Rememberance Tree today, pictures attached. The Staff at the NMA as usual were very welcoming and repectful to our Association, the day was sunny but a bit chilly and the ground underfoot a little wet after all the rain that had fallen in the area, our tree was in very good condition and in very good company. After completing our ceremony of placing the wreath the Secretary recited the following:-
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
We then had a short walk back to the Reception via the Armed Forces Memorial for a quick coffee, a visit to the Heads, the Ubique Collection, (www.ubiquecollection.co.uk) and the Poppy Shop, then it was off to Stafford to visit The Swan our Reunion Hotel for October.
