Hi Guys, I need someone with transport to pick up Harold Lock on September 26th from Sudbury, Suffolk to take him to Evesham, stay overnight in a 4* Hotel, and return with him on Friday 27th back to Sudbury, all expenses paid. Contact me urgently.
Jupiter Road Update 2
The date has been finalised as the 27th November at 1100 just off Broadway Road Evesham. Redrow Construction , the builders of the new housing development will be hosting the event, with Evesham Town Council and Wychavon District Council involved.
Invitations have been sent out to the Sea Cadets, RBL and RNA to provide representatives and Standards.
The following from the HMS Jupiter Association will be attending, Harold Lock only known crew member in the UK, survivor of the sinking and subsequent internment by the Japanise until the end of war in the Far East, Vice Admiral Sir Geoffrey Dalton, President of the HMS Jupiter Association and his wife Lady Jane, Ken Williams, Secretary, Norman Blain, Vice Chairman with wife Jackie and past Chairman David Baker.
If anyone else would like to attend please let me know asap, numbers required for catering, you don't have to be a Jupiter Association Member.
Some of us will be staying in a Evesham hotel the previous night just to check out the facilities!!!!

The latest is that the ceremony will be taking place during the last week of November, if anyone would like to attend please let me know asap. The local Evesham Town Council, Sea Cadets, RBL and the RNA will hopefully be attending. Further info will be here as soon as I know any details.
JUPITER REUNION 2014
Highlight of the Reunion Dinner was the presentation by the President to the Association of the Crystal Decanter given to the ex Skippers of Jupiter on their last Dinner night before Jupiter de-commissioned, pictures of this and other parts of the weekend will be published in Gallery 19.
